Searches and technical requests

A town, address or postcode entered in search is sent to our server to match directory records. The search is also placed in the page URL and may remain in your browser history or in a link you share. Avoid entering private or sensitive information. We do not offer a device-location feature or collect GPS coordinates through this directory.

Hosting and network providers necessarily process connection information such as IP addresses, requested pages, browser details and timestamps to deliver and protect the service. Our application request logger omits query strings from its request URL field, but that does not mean every browser, network or hosting log is anonymous.

Emails you choose to send

If you email support, the inbox receives your email address and the content and attachments you send. We use that information to handle the enquiry, investigate corrections and maintain appropriate records. Do not send passwords, payment details, betting-account information or identity documents. The published inbox may also receive enquiries for the operator’s other websites.

Why information is processed

We process requests to provide and secure the directory and handle enquiries, relying on legitimate interests where appropriate. We may also need to keep information to meet legal obligations. Where consent is required for a future optional feature, we will explain that feature and seek consent before enabling it. We do not sell your search queries or provide a betting-account service.

Cookies and browser storage

The current directory does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies, run a newsletter or require a user account. Search results are held in memory while the page is in use and search parameters are stored in the URL, not a customer profile. This preference stays on your device and is not sent to our server. Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Clearing browser storage removes the saved preference; if storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page.

If optional tracking is introduced, we must first update this policy, explain its purposes and providers, renew consent and block optional tracking until that new consent is given. A previous acceptance is not permission for an undisclosed new tracking service.

Fonts, maps and external links

Pages may load fonts from Google Fonts, which sends technical request information to Google. Maps are outbound links rather than embedded live maps. Following a profile lookup, directions or Street View link shares the destination query or coordinates with Google and opens its service. Other external sites, including gambling-support services, handle information under their own policies. Their cookies and practices are outside this directory’s control.

The Betfred Online advertising buttons are outbound affiliate links through bfpartners.click. Clicking sends the affiliate campaign identifier and normal technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to the destination services. Those services may use their own cookies or tracking under their privacy and consent policies. We do not load a Betfred advertising script, tracking pixel or embedded advert on this site. Our Cookie settings choice applies to this directory, not to a different website you choose to visit.

Retention, service providers and transfers

We keep enquiry information only for as long as it is needed to deal with the issue, maintain reasonable records or meet legal requirements. Technical-log retention depends on the relevant hosting and security service. Email, hosting and font providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable arrangements. Contact us for information about an enquiry you have sent.

Your rights and concerns

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law gives you rights to request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability, and to object to certain processing. Where processing depends on consent, you can withdraw it. Contact our support inbox with a privacy-related subject and enough information to identify the request, without sending unnecessary sensitive documents. You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when the directory’s data practices change. This policy describes Shop Opening Times, not the separate practices of Google, a bookmaker or another website you visit through a link.
